As the Uprising Student Ministry staff it is our job to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry. We are here to help you find the right place to serve that matches up with your spiritual gifts, talents and abilities.
As scripture teaches us, we are the Body of Christ and each part is needed for the Body to function properly. Each member has made a commitment upon joining the church to give of thier prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.
The procedure to serve in the Uprising Student Ministry is as follows:
1. Fill out the Volunteer Application and background check. This is held in confidence and facilitated by the Southwest Conference United Methodist main office. Click here to download the Volunteer Application, please fill this out completely and bring it with you when you come in to sign the background check (these are also available in the Student Ministry office or contact becky@uchurch.tv.)
2. Complete a short interview with Uprising Staff to determine your best fit for volunteering.
3. Complete the Child Youth Safety training course facilitated by our staff. Next training is on Sunday October 16th at 12 :15 in the Labrynth room upstairs North Campus
4. Start serving and keep us informed on any needs and prayer requests.
