July 22-26, 2012. Students will depart from the church after 11:00am worship on Sunday July 22nd and return about 7:00pm on Thursday July 26th.
Go! is the new name for our middle school mission trip. It embodies Jesus' calling on us to go and serve and love others. Students who were in grades 6, 7, or 8 during the 2011-2012 school year will attend Go!
This year we will be traveling to Houston, Tx to serve with 2 different organizations that serve the least, the last, and the lost in Houston and in places all over the world. We will be helping a rotary club that works with Total Quality Books to send books overseas to areas in nations that struggle to afford books to help their children learn how to read. This organization sends millions of dollars worth of books every month and we will have a part in helping them accomplish their goal! We will also serve with Spirit Key Ministries, a transitional housing facility that helps people transition back into society after time in prison. (Don't worry, this place is totally safe and there are no violent or sexual offenders there). We will help them to spruce up their facilities and even enjoy a lunch with them!
We will learn a lot about the culture of the city, some of the needs, and how the Holy Spirit is moving to grow the Kingdom of God. We will work for parts of 3 days, Monday through Wednesday, and end the trip with a visit to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels on Thursday before returning home.

All students must fill out a Code of Conduct and Medical Release Form to go on Project 127.
Final payment is due 14 days before event. Underwriting is available on a need basis. Registration for an event, even without payment, is an agreement to participate in the event. Upon registration, the student ministry staff reserves space, lodging, airfare, etc. associated with the event in the registered participant's name. Should the registered participant not participate in the event for any reason, the staff will do everything they can to recover any or all costs incurred by the church. The registered participant will still be responsible for any costs incurred by the church that we are unable to recover.
