The Military Ministry is here to support anyone who has served or is serving in the military, reservists, National Guard and their families.

Military Ministry

                    IT IS IN OUR DNA.

UUMC has always followed the scripture that just as Jesus went ahead to prepare a place for us in Heaven with our Heavenly Father.....

The congregation at UUMC has had the vision to prepare a place for those soon to come.  Our buliding history has proven that case in point.  A gym . . . a Chldren's building . . . a building that would serve our ever growing Ability Ministry . . . a Youth campus and now a Military Ministry dedicated to serving those who have made the supreme sacrifice . . . Life, Liberty Or Death, not just for Americans but for points all over the globe where injustice is occurring.  As our Military services and tropps decrease and return home, UUMC wants to be one of the "GO TO" places for serving those that served, the Soldiers and their families.

The Military Ministry is a new ministry at UUMC.  They meet in rooms S116-S117 at 12:30pm on the 4th Sunday of the month.  November and December's meeting will be combined and meet on December 4th.

For more information, please contact the Military Ministry Lay Leader, Jackye Guzley, at jwguzley@satx.rr.com.

Military families of E-5's and below may request a scholarship for your children 6 months-5th grade to attend UUMC's Kidz Night Klub (KNK).  This fun childcare is usually offered the 2nd Friday night of the month from 6:30-10:30pm.  There are only a limited number of scholarships for each month and are on a first come, first served basis. To ensure a caregiver is scheduled for a child with special needs, please contact Susan Galindo (susan@uchurch.tv) or Heather Klekar (heather@uchurch.tv) .  Don't forget to bring your military ID card and flyer with you when signing up your child(ren) at UUMC and requesting the scholarship.
