Missionary Council
Help to decide what missionaries The U supports financially. The missionary council allows you to learn more about the ministries our missionaries are involved in, keep in contact with missionaries, and helps inform the congregation about our missionaries by acting as a go to contact here on the ground. This council is also an integral part in the planning and execution of the Global Impact Celebration (GIC), a yearly event used to raise awareness and funds The U's missional activities.
Refugee Council
The mission of the Refugee Ministry is to provide support to the refugee population in San Antonio that will enable them to become independent, self sustaining members of the community. The ministry provides opportunities for Christian education and facilitates access to basic needs such as food, clothing, and household goods. The ministry also works to help the refugees access health, education, and social services. While providing those services, the ministry fosters relationships between the volunteers and the refugees that promote care, concern, friendship, and mutual respect.
Mission Team Meetings
Mission team meetings vary. As teams are forming and preparing to depart, the meeting time and place will change. These meetings are open to team members, and team supporters. Please check the individual mission team pages and the upcoming events to see when the team you are being called to meets next.
