The first medical mission trip from UUMC to Senegal went in May 2011. It was a 10 person medical team, including three doctors, two nurses, and 5 non medical assistants. Over 950 patients were treated and we were able to provide much needed medication and supplies for others. UUMC has partnered with the Mbour UMC (Mbour Eglise Méthodiste Unie au Sénégal). Our assistance helps support feeding programs, wellness ministry, and employment training skills. The next Medical mission trip is scheduled for April 2012. We are in the first stages of planning how we can assist our partner sister church in spreading the gospel in this 95% Muslim nation.
