Bill and Jeanette Boyle

Q: How long have you been in this specific mission field?
A: Bill and Jeanette Boyle have had the incredible privilege and honor of serving with the Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ since 1992. This year we celebrate our 18th year as full-time staff. We volunteered for two years before joining staff for a now total of twenty years! God is so Faithful!!!!

Q: How long do you plan to serve your present location?
A: We plan to serve in our current location for as long as the Lord requires. In our minds it is until our last breath and yet, we know and hope to live, "not my will but Thine...."

Q: What other fields or ministries have you served and for how long?
A: In 1992 we began serving at Lackland Air Force Base as volunteers. Two years later, we were the directors of the Sunday School ministry for the Air Force boot camp. Nine years later we saw the ministry grow to over 2,000 trainees a month attending classes. We were then called to South Carolina, Marine Corps boot camp to start a Sunday School comparable to the Lackland one. When we left South Carolina to return to San Antonio in 2005, the ministry at Marine Corps boot camp had grown to thousands and continues to grow today.

Q: Describe in a short paragraph the specific mission work you do. Tell us about the people to whom you minister.
A: We are now serving at Fort Sam Houston, Joint Base, Army, Navy, Air Force. We hold Bible Study on Sunday mornings before the Chapel service and we serve in the Chapel with the young men and women who are in various medical programs as well as in various branches of the military. Most of these men and women are young and away from home, missing family and friends. Many are training to become soldier medics: those who will serve on the battlefield. The opportunity to tell the Gospel of Jesus to dying men and women is great.
We have Wednesday Bible Studies for both the Navy and the Army. Fort Sam Houston also has an active woman's group called The Protestant Women of the Chapel. Jeanette has taught classes and workshops for PWOC around the nation. This April she will teach the women's conference. We also hold Witnessing workshops and outreaches for the community at large as well as speak at various churches.

Q: What are the goals for your ministry in the coming year?
A: Our goals for this year: To follow the Lord as He Wills, to continue to support the Chaplains at Fort Sam Houston as they serve, to equip soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, spouses, families to know God, to tell others, to walk in the Spirit, to grow and mature in Christ and to serve Him as He ordains.

Q: In what ways, other than financial, can The U partner with you?
A: You can partner with us in prayer and in thanking God for His continued work through us......."we will serve Him until we take our last breath....!"
