Director of Children's Ministry - Shari is in her 27th year of ministry, the last 16 years here at University. Her heart and passion is working with children and their parents to combine a ministry that grows strong relationships with Jesus Christ in fun, creative, and exciting ways while also creating a venue that is community-minded and a place that ALL children are welcome.! !

I have been in minstry for over 13 years.  The greatest joy is watching a child's face shine with the light of Christ. My husband is Bruce, we have been married for 27 years and have been blessed with two girls, Kassandra & Ariel and our son Drew.

Lynda’s childhood dream was to be a Disney animator, but as her seminary professor pointed out – “Aren’t you just thrilled you didn’t limit God by working for Disney?” Instead Lynda has used her creative art abilities to make the Bible come alive through Christian Drama, visual arts and Bible studies for over 35 years whether as a volunteer or staff.

 

Sylvia enjoys working in ministry not only because she sees all the children growing in their faith but has the opportunity to see God in all eight of her grandchildren.  Sylvia enjoys spending time and staying active with her family.

Although part-time in my job at Children’s Ministry, my heart is full-time in wanting to lead children to Jesus. I have been on staff at the U for 4 years and currently am the Assistant Director of Programs. On Sunday mornings I teach the Transition Class, a group of Nepalese children ages 2-6 who are new to the United States. I try to work with and help the refugee community in other ways when I have the time
