Preschool Grace Place

We have two hours of GRACE PLACE for children: 9:30 and 11:00. Please note: they can only attend ONE hour.  The very same curriculum is taught at both hours and out of respect for our teachers, we ask you to choose which hour you will be attending and come the same time each week.  Choice

8:15: Child care for O-Kinder and Worship for all ages.
9:30: GRACE PLACE for ages 2 (as of Sept. 1) – Kinder OR Worship (for those attending 11:00 GRACE PLACE)
11:00: GRACE PLACE for ages 2 (as of Sept. 1) – Kinder

 Extended Session for 2 year olds, attending 9:30 GRACE PLACE
Godly Play for 3’s, 4’s, and Kinder, attending  9:30 GRACE PLACE OR Worship for those attending 9:30 GRACE PLACE

Godly Play Worship

A TIME FOR 3’s, 4’s, and Kindergarten who have already ATTENDED Grace Place at the 9:30 hour to continue in their Christian education.

THE GOAL OF GODLY PLAY: To teach children the art of using religious language – parables, sacred stories, silence and liturgical action – to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. For more information

Elementary J-Quest

What is J-Quest?

J-Quest is a new approach to Sunday School.  It is a rotation workshop model which gives Elementary children the opportunity to learn in different styles and a variety of settings. J-Quest is at both 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

Why teach this way?

The more different ways children explore a story, the more it is reinforced in their memories.

How are the stories taught?

In rotational learning, the same Bible story or theme is taught for five weeks  in five different stations.  Each week, children “rotate” to a different station.  The story remains the same, but children learn it in different ways.   Then the next five-week lesson, the children will rotate to the next five stations.

The ten different rotations stations for children are:
