We would love for you to be a part of our team.
University UMC is supported by the many volunteers who give of their time, talents and abilities to help make our church happen. Congregational Care is no different!
The Congregational Care Volunteer Team is a group of caring, compassionate, and encouraging volunteers who help support families in time of need. Volunteer opportunities range from writing cards of encouragement, making and delivering hot meals, support group leaders, and praying for those in need. You can find a detail list below.
We believe in looking after each other.
The way we see Pastoral Care is like community caretaking plus triage. We rely on the small communities we can build around ourselves to be our main support. But we also have a need for volunteers whose gifts include a capacity to listen, pray, celebrate weddings, suggest referrals, visit the sick or help intervene during crises.
