Pathway to Discipleship Core class: Message Phase.
Pre-requisite: Completion of Meeting Phase of Pathway to Discipleship.

Disciple 1; Becoming Disciples through Bible study:A 34-week course that is designed for participants to experience Jesus’ message through historical narrative of God’s relationship with His people. Through video teachings of seminary professors, daily Scripture readings and group exercises, participants will study Genesis-Revelation, covering nearly 76% of the Bible.

Pathway to Discipleship Electives:
Pre-requisite: Completion of Disciple 1.

Disciple 2; Into the Word, Into The World: A 32-week study that selects specific portions of Scripture and delves deeper into them. Equal attention is given to both the Old and New Testament with concentration on four books: Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts (eight lessons on each book).
This study proclaims the transforming power of Scripture and also emphasizes the rhythm of coming to God and going for God, of being in the Word and in the world individually and corporately.

Class meets Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm in room S212-213, beginning September 12. Fee: $40.

Disciple 3; Remember who we are: A 32-week study on the Old Testament prophets, with the exception of Daniel, and the thirteen letters traditionally attributed to Paul. To establish the historical context in which the prophets spoke for God, daily reading assignments also draw on the books of Deuteronomy through Chronicles.
Several themes weave their way through the study: the call to remember, the call to repentance, the need for renewed vision (eyes to see, ears to hear), and the place of community.
