Part Time Custodial Position

There is a Part time custodial position available at University United Methodist Church. Hours are 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays and 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sunday. The successful applicant must be Christ-centered. Please contact the Facilities Use Director at (210-696-1033).
Organist/Assistant Director of Worship and Music
University United Methodist Church seeks an Organist/Assistant Director of Worship and Music for a 5000-member congregation with a strong tradition of excellence in music ministry. Instruments include Rosales Tracker Organ installed (1989) Opus 15 organ with full trumpet enchamade, full chime rank, and full pedal board and Steinway concert grand.
Duties include playing the organ for Sunday worship services, festival services and concerts, accompanying 110-member Sanctuary Choir and 35-member auditioned chamber ensemble, soloists and instrumental ensembles, and accompanying full orchestra. Other duties to be assigned.
The applicant should demonstrate knowledge and commitment to traditional music in the context of worship, possess outstanding choral accompanying and sight-reading skills, be highly creative and a team player. Flexibility and understanding of multiple styles of music and improvisational skills are a plus. Master’s degree in music [organ major] preferred, with secondary study in sacred music or choral conducting preferred. Includes health and pension benefits, paid vacation, and continuing education funds. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
